PC Moldova is currently devided into four program areas focusing on aiding partner organizations to acheive their developmental and educational goals.
Some Volunteers work within the Moldovan public educational system, serving as English language teachers or health educators. English teachers typically work with rural high schools, but some are placed in regional centers or major cities, working in secondary schools or universities. Health Education Volunteers work in all levels of the public school system, and are partnered with local health care organizations as well.
Volunteers that are not placed in school based assignments typically work with Moldovan Non Governmental Organizations, serving as advisors and consultants in the areas of Community Development and Agricultural Economics.
In the navigaional bar to the right you will find links to further information on the various PC program areas. These are labeled "Teaching English", "Health Education", "Community and Organizational Development, and "Agro-Business" respectively.
In addition to the four primary work areas, PC Moldova volunteers also participate in a variety of side projects such as summer camps, athletic teams, and academic clubs. Many of these projects fall under the umbrella of an organizing body known as GAD (Gender and Developmet). More information about GAD and it's programs can be found by using the link labeled "Youth and Development".
